Florida’s First Statewide Tattoo Regulations Take Effect

It’s hard to believe that Florida was one of the last remaining states to begin regulating the tattoo industry.

Prior to passing this law, Florida was one of only three states in which the tattoo industry was unregulated. The measure specifically targets “scratchers,” people who purchase tattooing equipment on the Internet and give dangerous and damaging tattoos at cut-rate prices.
