I read so many ridiculous comments about tattoos on a regular basis, that I thought I would start sharing some of my favorites each week.
This weeks comment can be found on the Daily Mail article, ‘No regerts? Well maybe a few….These tacky tattoos have been singled out as ugliest yet‘, courtesy of Raymond Waugh, Highly skilled Instrument Technician, Grim Grim Grimsby, North East Lincs
Waugh’s Law says that the number of square metres of tattoo on any human is directly proportional to their Intelligent Quotient! In other words tattoos and piercings are for those who are not too bright ! (Whatever some University student might write in!) There are some bright people with these body modifications but NOT many! I would n’t employ ANYONE with either! Never no how!
First of all, I believe Raymond meant Intelligence Quotient, not Intelligent. Then, he needs to be educated on the concept of direct proportion. His “law” suggests that the more tattoos a person has, the more intelligent they are, while he clearly intended to make the opposite point. In other words, the asinine statements about people with tattoos lacking intelligence are usually made by those who are not too bright themselves.
I’m not sure the significance of ending every single sentence with an exclamation point, but I will take it as further proof of Raymond’s lack of intelligence or lack of understanding of the English language.
Finally, you have to love the strong closing statement, “Never no how!” I believe we was trying to emphasize the point that he would never employ a person with tattoos or piercings, but all it does is make him sound more ridiculous.
Thanks for the laugh Mr. Waugh. You really put that highly advanced intellegent quotient to good use here. Never no how!
